m0rphic Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 (edited) A group of computer hackers labeling themselves as the Iranian Cyber Army has attacked the Voice of America's Internet site, temporarily defacing scores of news pages with an anti-U.S. message below images of an Iranian flag and an AK-47 assault weapon.Iran's IRNA news agency boasted of the attack Tuesday and indicated the attack claimed in the name of the Iranian Cyber Army was carried out by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards.VOA executives said the hackers did not penetrate any of the government-funded agency's computer networks. They did gain entry to an outside computer system that operates a domain name server – a database of Internet addresses available worldwide – and redirected VOA traffic to the hackers' own site. The cyber attack began Monday evening and continued into Tuesday morning. VOA said the problem was resolved quickly once it became clear what had occurred, and that no data was lost or compromised. The hackers' message, written in broken English, appeared on VOAnews.com pages in English, Persian, Azeri, Dari, Pashtun and Urdu, and on several subdomains. In comments addressed to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the hackers said “the Islamic world doesn't believe USA trickery,” and demanded an end to alleged U.S. “interference' in Islamic countries' affairs,The Iranian government's semi-official Fars News Agency praised the attack and indicated it was retaliation for so-called “false reports” published about Iran.Sursa:Iranian Group Says It Hacked VOA Web Site VOA Breaking NewsImi cer scuze daca a mai fost postat.Am dat search dar nu am gasit.LE: au scos repede deface-ul respectiv dar se pare ca inca mai au probleme http://www.voanews.com/english/search/?run=Y&c=%3CIMG%20%22%22%22%3E%3CSCRIPT%3Ealert(%22m0rphic%20RST%22)%3C/SCRIPT%3E%22%3E Edited February 23, 2011 by m0rphic they got xss too Quote
