What is eMule? At dawn of May 13th 2002 a guy called Merkur was dissatisfied with the original eDonkey2000 client and was convinced he could do better. So he did. He gathered other developers around him, and eMule Project was born. Their aim was to put the client back on track where eDonkey had been famous before, adding tons of new features and a nice GUI. They couldn't imagine what impact this decision would have... As of today, eMule is one of the biggest and most reliable peer-to-peer file sharing clients around the world. Thanks to it's open source policy many developers are able to contribute to the project, making the network more efficient with each release. What does eMule mean? The name "eMule" comes from an animal called "Mule" which is somehow similar to a donkey How often is eMule updated? eMule is not updated regularly, but at the moment the frequencies are between 1 and 3 months. Don't take this for guaranteed. A list of a few features available. * Clients use several networks to create one reliable network. (ED2K, Source Exchange, Kad) o Kad is now in an open testphase, eMule v0.42 can be enabled to use Kad * eMule's Queue and Credit system helps to ensure that everyone will get the file he wants by promoting those that upload back to the network. * eMule is completely free. eMule is also completely free of any Adware, Spyware, and ect. We do this for fun and knowledge, not for money. * Each file checked for corruptions while downloading to ensure an error free file. * The eMules Intelligent Corruption Control helps to speed up the correction of corrupted parts. * Auto priorities and Source management allows you to start many downloads without having to monitor them. * The Preview function allows you to look at your Videos and Archives before they are completed. For video previewing, we recommend the Video Lan Client. * The eMule features webservices and a webserver that allows you to have quick access to and from the internet. * You can create categories for your download to organize them. * To find the file you want, eMule offers a wide range of search possibilities which include: Servers (Local, and Global), web based (Jigle, and Filedonkey), and Kad (Still in Alpha). * eMule also allows you to use very complex Boolean searches that make the searches much more flexible. * With the messaging and friend system, you can send messages to other Clients and add them as friends. In your friend list, you can always see if a friend is online. * With the build in IRC client, you can chat with other downloaders and chatters around the globe. * grafica: Gimp, XSane, F-Spot, gThumb, * internet: Firefox, * chat: gaim, * si multe alte aplicatii Download http://kiwi.startx.ro/cdimage/

Hello, and welcome to my simple login form tutorial. This is situated on the fact that you are using Visual Basic 6.0 1. Starting off you are going to need to open up Visual Basic 6.0 Development window, and create a standard .exe file 2. Now you need to drag onto the form the correct command property. These are as follows: 2 Command Buttons 2 Text Boxes 2 Labels Set the following properties for the different controls. Command Button 1 Name: cmdLogin Caption: Login Command Button 2 Name: cmdClose Caption: Close Program Text Box 1 Name: txtUsername Text: Leave this empty Text Box 2 Name: txtPassword Text: Leave this empty PasswordChar: * (Reccommended so that the text appears as stars, added security.) Label 1 Caption: Username: Label 2 Caption: Password Now that you have the correct controls on the screen then we can get down to the coding! In order to access the code of the program, right click anywhere on the form and click on view code. Code: 'Global Variables Dim Username As String 'Username Variable Dim Password As String 'Password Variable Private Sub cmdLogin_Click() Username = "TestUser1" 'What the Username Variable is Password = "TestUser1" 'What the Password Variable is 'If Statement Starting Here 'It States that if the username is = to text box and password is = password text box, then it should login, else display error message! If Username = txtUsername And Password = txtPassword Then frmLoginSuccess.Show 'Shows the Login Success Form frmLoginScreen.Hide 'Hides the Login Screen Else 'A Message box that displays you have entered the wrong username and password MsgBox ("You have entered the wrong username and password") End If End Sub Private Sub cmdClose_Click() Unload Me 'Closes the program End Sub This is a basic piece of code that checks that what is etnered in the username box, and what is entered in the password box, is equal to what the username and password variables have been set at. 3. Now you need to name the forms. Click the form and go to the name property, and call the form frmLoginScreen. 4. Now create a new form. The way to do this is to right click in the project explorer area, and click on new, then select form. Now call this form frmLoginSuccess. 5. Now run the program and see if it works. In theory, when you have entered the correct username and password, it should hide the Login Form and show the Login Success form

When your program makes use of the CD-ROM drive, it can be a nice touch to open and close the door under program control. You can do so with the mciSendString function from the Windows API. This function provides a general purpose interface to Windows' multimedia capabilities. Its declaration is shown here: Declare Function mciSendString Lib "winmm.dll" Alias "mciSendStringA" _ (ByVal lpCommandString As String, ByVal lpReturnString As String, _ ByVal uReturnLength As Long, ByVal hwndCallback As Long) As Long Because the CD-ROM is considered to be a multimedia device, you can use this API function to control it. The first argument tells the device what you want to do. For example, pass the string "set CDAudio door open" to open the door. For example: retval = mciSendString("set CDAudio door open", "", 0, 0) You can see that the second through fourth arguments are not used in this case and are passed either a blank string or the value zero. Likewise the function's return value can be ignored. Along with the function declaration shown above you can put the following two procedures in a code module in your program to provide control of the CD-ROM door. Public Sub OpenCDDoor() Dim retval As Long retval = mciSendString("set CDAudio door open", "", 0, 0) End Sub Public Sub CloseCDDoor() Dim retval As Long retval = mciSendString("set CDAudio door closed", "", 0, 0) End Sub Note that calling OpenCDDoor when the door is already open, or CloseCDDoor when it is closed, has no effect.
