(temp contract) Lead Cyber Sec consultant

Contract Length: 29th March 2019 
Location: London 
IR35: Out of Scope 
Pay Rate to Candidate: £500 -£600 / day


Minimum Requirement: 

1. Must have public sector experience
2. Must have a back ground in risk assurance experience, building security systems and working in an ISO accredited environment 
3. Working at a senior level so must be able to evidence management of people and engagement of senior stakeholders-dealing with conflict 
4. Be able to mitigate risk and advise how this affects the deliverables 
5. Blend of technical and management experience 
6 . Proficient at working in a cloud security technology environment and being able to talk knowledgeably about it .

 

  • Be able to build relationships with senior staff to establish trust in your advice and guidance on matters of, security, information risk and data protection matters, and a working relationship that facilitates effective risk management on complex high profile digital service delivery programmes. 
  • Have extensive experience leading complex security and privacy programmes across Government and/or global organisations. 
  • Have an extensive range of cyber and information security expertise 
  • Have an excellent grasp of the technologies used to deliver cloud-based services, digital web-based services and in particular, the security controls needed to protect these services and the data that they process and store 
  • Have extensive experience carrying out information risk assessments for digital services, ideally with a range of formal risk methodologies 
  • Have a very strong understanding of the Data Protection Act and be experienced in ensuring DPA compliance for digital services 
  • Have a strong and growing understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation 
  • Have very strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders inside and outside government across different specialist functions. Be experienced in working closely with delivery teams to build strong and effective working relationships 
  • Have a strong understanding and demonstrable track record in providing information security assurance of web-based services and cloud services Be able to balance technical, physical personnel and procedural controls to address business and information risks in the most effective way Have extensive experience of delivering reports to private and public sector customers and stakeholders on services and information risk 
  • Have excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Will be familiar with UK and international, legal and regulatory requirements that could affect organisation security and assurance policies and influence their development as needed.
