Aaron Swartz, care s-a sinucis vineri, fusese re?inut în iulie 2011 ?i era acuzat de faptul c? ar fi furat 4 milioane de documente de pe serverele MIT ?i Jstor, o arhiv? digital? de jurnale ?tiin?ifice ?i lucr?ri academice. În cazul în care ar fi fost condamnat, Swartz risca o pedeaps? de pân? la 50 de ani de închisoare ?i o amend? de pân? la 4 milioane de dolari, scrie news.cnet.com. In response, Anonymous has launched Operation Angel. Before discussing the operation, there is something that needs to be said to Aaron's family and his friends: We're sorry. It is likely that our continuous condemnation and attacks against this cult is the very reason Aaron is being targeted by them. We would do anything to stop them from attending Aaron's services. Aaron deserves peace and we will not allow this cult to overpower what should be the media's focus, the monsters at D O J who ruthlessly targeted your son. We encourage organizations who would like to form protective human shields near Aaron's funeral to listen closely for any announcement by the family on this action and respect their wishes. Operation Angel has a number of goals. First, we mean to facilitate the flow of information regarding the cult's movements. Nu stiu cat de adevarata e stirea,dar totusi pare aberant ca pentru un asa zis furt de lucrari stiintifice,care oricum ar fi trebuie sa fie disponibile publicului sa primesti 50 de ani ,iar cand omori peste 77 de persoane sa primesti doar 21 de ani (Anders Breivik) .Inteleg ca legislatia difera de la o tara la alta tara,dar totusi e un furt,nu o crima.
