During this period, we’ve gone from easy-to-exploit stack buffer overruns to complex-and-expensive chains of multiple exploits. To better understand this evolution, this presentation will describe the vulnerability mitigation strategy Microsoft has been pursuing and will show how this strategy has influenced vulnerability and exploitation trends over time.
