It is the bugfixed Samhain version 3.0.9 ! Our original post about Samhain can be found here.Samhain 3.0.9 “The Samhain open source host-based intrusion detection system (HIDS) provides file integrity checking and logfile monitoring/analysis, as well as rootkit detection, port monitoring, detection of rogue SUID executables, and hidden processes. It has been designed to monitor multiple hosts with potentially different operating systems, providing centralized logging and maintenance, although it can also be used as standalone application on a single host. Samhain is an open-source multiplatform application for POSIX systems (Unix, Linux, Cygwin/Windows).“Official change log for Samhain 3.0.9:Some build errors have been fixed.The ‘probe’ command for the server has been fixed (clients could be erroneously omitted under certain conditions).An option ‘IgnoreTimestampsOnly’ has been added to the Windows registry check (ignore changes if only timestamp has changed).Full scans requested by the inotify module will now only run at times configured for full scans anyway.
