Boot OS de pe SSD extern

Am 2 ssd-uri, ambele booteaza sistemul de operare daca pun unul in slotul intern respectiv.

In schimb daca conectez extern SSD-ul  cu un adaptor la USB, nu apare in bios, evident nici in boot menu ca sa l selectez.

 

(USB stick bootabil creat cu RUFUS functioneaza)
 

Vreo idee de ce nu il recunoaste?

Pot fi zeci de cauze. As incepe sa verific/testez o parte din ele in ordinea asta

 

- Mufa usb in care ai indesat usb-ul. As testa si alta

- BIOS, de testat: disable/enable secure boot, uefi enable/disable/legacy

- BIOS, de verificat sa am AHCI enabled: 

- Daca este linux, as face chroot pe usb si as rescrie grub. Daca nu e linux pe discul principal, as rula un live cd si as face acelasi lucru

n-ai specificat daca-s nvme sau sata. daca ai ssd m.2 nvme si adaptorul stie doar m.2 sata, sau viceversa, iti dai seama de ce. cand bootezi de pe un os, si bagi adaptorul usb, iti vede device-ul? filesystem-ul? cu alt drive merge? n-ai specificat ce os-uri incerci, dar stiu ca windows-ul este dubios la boot de pe external media.
