ReactOS este un sistem de operare gratuit ?i open source bazat pe arhitectura Windows NT, având suport pentru aplica?iile ?i driverele existente. Este o alternativ? la sistemul de operare dominant pentru consumatori.

Ar fi important s? specific?m ce -nu este- ReactOS. Nu este alt wrapper pentru Linux, a?a cum este WINE. Nu încearc? ?i nici nu pl?nuie?te s? se bat? cu WINE; de fapt, partea user-mode a ReactOS este bazat? pe WINE, iar cele dou? echipe au lucrat strâns în trecut. De asemenea, ReactOS nu este "doar alt sistem". Nu încearc? s? fie un juc?tor ter?iar, ca SkyOS sau alte sisteme de operare alternative existente. Utilizatorii nu trebuie s? dezinstaleze Linux ?i s? instaleze ReactOS în locul acestuia; ReactOS este pentru utilizatorii Windows ce vor un înlocuitor ce se comport? exact ca acesta.

De?i codul surs? ?i folosirea ReactOS sunt momentan inten?ionate c?tre programatori, pentru a dezvolta ?i improviza, nu trebuie s? ave?i cuno?tin?e avansate pentru a îl folosi, iar în starea final? va fi un sistem de operare pentru consumatori. Dac? a?i folosit Windows pân? acum, atunci ReactOS va fi familiar. Reînv??area ar trebui s? fie minim?, deoarece ReactOS are multe din controalele grafice, panourile de control ?i dialogurile din Windows (2000/XP/2003).

Aten?ia momentan este îndreptat? c?tre dezvoltarea ReactOS la un stadiu în care va fi capabil s? ruleze majoritatea driverelor ?i aplica?iilor Windows imediat dup? instalare ("out of the box"). Aceasta nu înseamn? totu?i c? ReactOS se va opri aici; pe m?sur? ce noi func?ii sunt ad?ugate în Windows, dezvoltatorii no?tri vor încerca s? introduc? aceste func?ii în versiunile noi ale ReactOS. De îndat? ce nivelul de compatibilitate va fi atins, am putea improviza ReactOS chiar ?i mai mult. Aceste schimb?ri vor fi externe fa?? de sistemul de operare principal, ?i total compatibile cu Windows, dar vor aduce avantaje. De exemplu, una din dorin?ele noastre este s? avem compatibilitate POSIX, asem?n?toare cu Windows Services for Unix. Ar putea fi totu?i o implementare simpl? ca desktop-uri multiple, în loc de a avea nevoie de un PowerToy.

Sistemul se afla in stadiul alpha si nu e recomandat pentru o folosire zilnica dar timp de 1 luna nu am avut nici o problema cu el pana am schimbat pe linux.

cu toate driverele ce au mers ca unse, testat cu jocuri de tip: cs, nfs, etc. etc., programe de muzica gen: winamp, bsplayer , si restul, partea frumoasa, dupa o lunga perioada in care am incercat sa intru pe toate site-urile riscante si dand click peste click pe toate link-urile de gen click aici, am remarcat ca la scanarea cu kaspersky si malware bytes nu a gasit nimic, era curat ca lacrima .
