Unii profesori sunt pregatiti si au daruire, iar altii nu. Acum depinde de noroc. Si la Pitesti unde am fost si acum la Universitate unde sunt, gasesti multe caractere. Acum depinde de tine sa alegi ce e bun. Bafta!

Legat de Pite?ti, am f?cut primul an acolo ?i da e o facultate destul de slab?, dar ai acces la internship-uri, unele chiar în str?in?tate cum s-a dus acum o prieten? în Viena pentru 2 s?pt?mâni. Totul depinde de tine.

No plan to install Windows 10 due to Microsoft's controversial data mining and privacy invasions within the operating system? Well, Windows 7 and Windows 8 OS users should also be worried as Windows 10 spying is now headed their way too… Microsoft has been caught installing latest updates onto Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers that effectively introduce the same data collecting and user behavior tracking features used in Windows 10. Under the new updates, the operating systems indiscriminately upload data to Microsoft's servers, which might be a major privacy concern for many users. Creepy Updates The updates in question are: KB3068708 – This update introduces the Diagnostics and Telemetry tracking service to existing devices. KB3022345 (replaced by KB3068708) – This update adds the Diagnostics and Telemetry tracking service to in-market devices. KB3075249 – This update adds telemetry points to the User Account Control (UAC) feature in order to collect data on elevations that come from low integrity levels. KB3080149 – This package updates the Diagnostics and Telemetry tracking service to existing devices. These recent updates released by Redmond install the "Diagnostics and Telemetry tracking service" that is the most controversial component of the Microsoft's newest operating system. Once installed, the Diagnostics and Telemetry tracking service immediately begins phoning home to Microsoft even if privacy controls are enabled – apparently with no option to stop it. These four updates bypasses the existing user preferences stored in Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating system and, as noted by gHacks, immediately starts exchanging your data with the following domains: vortex-win.data.microsoft.com settings-win.data.microsoft.com How to Stop Windows 7 and Windows 8 from Spying on You? The bigger question for users who are uncomfortable with these changes is: How do I stop them? The best way to prevent Windows 7 and 8 from tracking you is to not install the latest updates. Unlike Windows 10, Windows 7 and Windows 8 updates are not mandatory, so you can choose not to download the updates. However, if you have already installed these updates on your computers, you can remove them completely from your systems and the operating system will not automatically reinstall them without your permission. Go to Control Panel > View installed updates > Remove all the four updates. If you want to eliminate these updates faster, you can launch a command prompt window with administrator privileges and then type in the following commands one by one: CODE wusa /uninstall /kb:3068708 /quiet /norestart wusa /uninstall /kb:3022345 /quiet /norestart wusa /uninstall /kb:3075249 /quiet /norestart wusa /uninstall /kb:3080149 /quiet /norestart Once done, you can right-click on any updates shown by Windows Update and choose "Hide Update" to make sure that these updates won't be reinstalled in case you reboot your system. sursa

Succes! *Not?: sunt mai mul?i factori care pot influen?a performan?ele serverului. Incearca sa faci cron-ul asa: * * * * * /usr/bin/curl --silent --show-error http://site.ro/curl.php &>/dev/null Daca ceva nu e in regula, vei vedea si problema in error log.

Hackers have their hands on something of your concern. A severe zero-day vulnerability in the latest, fully patched version of Apple's Mac OS X is reportedly being exploited in the wild by the hackers. The vulnerability could allow attackers to install malware and adware onto a target Mac, running OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) operating system, without requiring victims to enter system passwords, a new report says. The zero-day bug came over a week after security researcher Stefan Esser discovered a privilege escalation zero-day vulnerability in the latest version of Apple's OS X Yosemite that caused due to environment variable DYLD_PRINT_TO_FILE and dynamic linker dyld, new error-logging features added to the operating system. The developers failed to implement standard safeguards that are needed while adding support for new environment variables to the OS X dynamic linker dyld, allowing hackers to create or modify files with root privileges that can fit anywhere in the Mac OS X file system. OS X Zero-Day Exploit in the Wild Now, security researchers from anti-malware firm Malwarebytes spotted a malicious installer in the wild that was exploiting the zero-day vulnerability to infect Macs with different types of adware including VSearch, MacKeeper and Genieo. The issue actually resides in a hidden Unix file – Sudoers – which is actually a list of files as to which software are allowed to get root permissions on a computer. However, a modification to the Sudoers allowed the installer to gain root level permissions without the need of password from an administrator. The issue was discovered by Adam Thomas while testing a new adware installer. No Way Out for Mac Users The zero-day flaw affects both the current stable Mac version OS X 10.10 (build 10.10.4) and the recent Beta build OS X 10.10.5 (Yosemite). Good news for Mac users who are running Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan Beta builds, as it appears that they are not affected by the zero-day flaw. Until Apple patches this critical issue, you don't have any good options to prevent a skilled hacker from installing malware on your Mac systems, beyond using a patch created by Esser himself, which can be downloaded from here. No doubt, Esser is a respected security researcher, but installing a patch from a third party developer can be a risky. Therefore, we advise you to fully investigate the patch before installing. >>sunt pe capitan si ma doare la banan<< sursa

Windows 10 is built with the power features of Windows 7 and 8.1, which makes it a robust operating system. It gained 65 million users in the first three days after its release. Still counting and making Windows 10 as a universal platform for all the devices running the same operating system. By Introducing “Windows as a service” utility, The Microsoft is offering Windows 10 Free Upgrade to all the users running Windows 7 or 8.1 as a Windows update, and not as a separate product. From now on, the company will provide regular updates for Windows in the same manner Apple does with its Mac OS X operating system that gets regular updates on a yearly basis and has been known as OS X for over 15 years. Despite some privacy issues, including “Wi-Fi Sense” and “Bandwidth sharing for Windows Update”, and few more, Windows 10 offers a bevy of new and advanced features that makes the operating system unique from others. Talking about features, 'Windows as a Service' is considered as the most appreciated and huge feature of Windows 10 among others. 1. One Operating System for All Devices: Windows 10 Microsoft Windows 10 is a unique and single operating system that works on all your devices, ranging from mobile phones, personal computers, tablets, to the internet of things and other embedded systems. Bringing all devices under one roof will boost the Software development industry, as the programmers will now have to develop an application that is readily available on all the devices sharing the same core platform. Unlike Apple’s operating systems that is different for different platform, OS X for desktop computers and iOS for mobile devices, which limit software developers from developing common applications for both the platforms. Such a revolution is brought with keeping in mind the future advancements in the technology, where people are more reliant on the digital devices. 2. Cortana — Most Intelligent Digital Assistant Can’t remember things often? Microsoft Windows 10 presents you a smart, yet organized digital assistant Cortana, which debuted with huge success on Windows Phone 8.1. Cortana on Windows 10 does a lot more than just poke through your local documents. She can: Remember things on your behalf (once you set a reminder though) Manage your personal details and helps you provide things which interests you Makes you happy by taking a note of your details and how you use your gadget. Surfacing News she thinks will appeal to you, and a whole lot more. Cortana is powered by Bing and Microsoft’s machine learning in the cloud, and she does all the tasks by taking feeds from you either in a form of your voice or textual form. Cortana was earlier available only to the Windows 8.1 phone users, but with the release of Windows 10, now it is available on all the devices. Cortana poses as a rival to Google Now and Siri, which are the intelligent digital assistants of Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS operating systems respectively. Cortana is expected to be available for Android and iOS as well, for allowing the users to access the applications like OneDrive and Xbox on other platforms too. At this moment, Cortana is available only in few countries including the United States, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, and China; in languages supporting Chinese (Simplified), English (U.K.), English (U.S.), French, Italian, German, and Spanish. 3. Virtual desktops & Split View for Multitasking Multitasking becomes more smooth with Windows 10, as it offers features like Snap assist and Task view where one can set up as many "desktops" as you like, each with different applications open, and switch between them on the fly. Microsoft first introduced Aero Snap in Windows 7 that lets you drag windows to left or right and quickly set up a split-screen view with two apps. Aero Snap instantly became one of the best multitasking features on Windows — and it is even better in the latest Windows 10. Microsoft added more power to Aero Snap in Windows 10. Now you can snap an application and display thumbnails of other snaps simultaneously for quick access. Microsoft also offers multi-desktop management with Task view that allows you to switch between the already open applications on the system as well as to set up multiple desktops. This utility can be simply implemented by clicking on the icon for Task view in the taskbar. Moreover, with Windows 10 comes a new set of keyboard shortcuts and trackpad gestures altogether. 4. DirectX 12: Gamers Will Love Windows 10 After bidding goodbye to Internet Explorer, Microsoft’s Windows 10 introduces a new web browser known as “Microsoft Edge”. Edge is an entirely new web browser with some worthy additions, but the vital features to take a note of, are the Cortana integration and an annotation tool. Edge is giving a tough competition to Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. And you’ll surely want to give it a try. Highlights: It has built-in Cortana support, Microsoft's virtual assistant. The rendering engine is called EdgeHTML. It contains the vast majority of the controls. The design focuses on minimalism and simplicity It has a built-in reading list, web note-taking and sharing features. It has a super useful and well-designed "New Tab" page (pictured below). 6. Windows Hello — Supports Two-factor and Biometric authentication Security features in Windows 10 are taken to a new level altogether, by introducing Windows Hello as a unique characteristic, allowing you to sign into your system with just your face or finger. “With Windows Hello, you’ll be able to just show your face, or touch your finger, to new devices running Windows 10 and be immediately recognized,” says Microsoft. “And not only is Windows Hello more convenient than typing a password—it’s more secure!” However, you may not be able to enjoy Windows Hello face recognition, as the feature works by using a special Intel RealSense 3D camera, which most of the currently available machines do not support. Microsoft will support existing fingerprint readers. Therefore, to use the facial recognition support in Windows Hello, you’ll have to wait for new Windows 10 PCs that will ship later this year with Intel’s RealSense 3D infrared camera that will help scan your face. Facial recognition is not something new to offer, but Microsoft has something best. The facial recognition is a quick process. But wait! There’s something more Microsoft has to offer, which is unless you blink or move your face, the authentication fails. As a result of which, it makes the hackers hard to get into your system by using your high-resolution photographs. Download Windows 10 If you want to install Windows 10 today, you can. If you reserved your copy, you should be seeing a message to upgrade. If not, you can always download the Media Creation tool from Microsoft and install it or Download the Windows 10 ISO for a clean install. sursa

Remember Mt.Gox? Once the world’s largest Bitcoin exchange… ...then in early 2014, Tokyo-based Mt.Gox Bitcoin exchange filed for bankruptcy saying it lost some 8,50,000 Bitcoins (worth $64 Million) to hackers and suddenly went dark with no explanation. Last Friday, Mark Karpeles, the former CEO of the collapsed Mt.Gox, was arrested by Tokyo Metropolitan Police in connection with the disappearance of Bitcoins worth £247 Million. Police believe Mr. Karpeles had accessed the computer system of the Bitcoin exchange and manipulated the outstanding balance to cover up fraudulent transactions. The company said at the time that 750,000 customers’ Bitcoins and another 100,000 belonging to the exchange were stolen due to an unknown vulnerability in the company’s software. While he is not yet been charged, the authorities are investigating his involvement in the stealing of Millions of dollars of the Bitcoin virtual currency when the exchange collapsed in 2014. Mt.Gox said that it could not find 850,000 Bitcoins, leaving angry customers out of pocket. Karpeles' Lawyer denied any wrongdoing by his client and said that under the criminal justice system of Japan, police can hold a suspect without charge for up to three weeks. If found guilty, Mark Karpeles could face up to five years in Jail, or a fine of up to 500,000 yen (£2,650). sursa

After installing Windows 10, Feeling like your Internet Bandwidth is dropping away? Windows 10 is stealing your network bandwidth. Along with the privacy features related to Wi-Fi Sense, Windows 10 users should check for another hidden by default feature that uses your network bandwidth to share updates with other Windows 10 users across the Internet. Microsoft launched Windows 10 on July 29 and offered a free upgrade to Windows 7,8 and 8.1 users, and for anyone who wants to download it. But, handling millions of simultaneous 3.5GB downloads is quite difficult for the company. So, in order to cope up with the issue, Microsoft has baked a new feature into its latest desktop operating system that uses the torrent-style approach to obtain software updates, allowing Windows 10 users to download updates from other users. Windows 10 is Stealing your Internet Bandwidth The feature, known as Windows Update Delivery Optimization (WUDO), is initially designed to help users get faster software updates, which is quite a good idea to handle massive internet traffic of up to 40 Terabits per second (TBps). WUDO works a lot like torrents work. Your computer running Windows 10 is used as part of a peer-to-peer network to deliver software updates faster to others, each person distributing a little bit of the files across multiple computers and helping everyone download updates quickly. But, this peer-to-peer sharing method offered by Windows 10 is using your precious Internet bandwidth, without hinting you about it, because the feature is enabled by default in Windows 10 Home and Pro edition. WUDO is also enabled in Windows 10 Enterprise and Education, but only for the local network. How to Disable Windows Update Delivery Optimization (WUDO)? You can disable the feature, but the option is buried deep in the Settings menu for Windows Update. To turn this feature OFF, follow these given steps: Go to Settings in the Start menu Search for Update & Security Under Windows Update, open Advanced Options Under Choose How Updates are Installed, select Choose how updates are delivered Disable the toggle under Updated from More than One Place The feature is a good idea to speed up software updates, but enabling it by default without the knowledge of users is probably not at all a great idea. In a statement, a Microsoft said that the feature "helps people get updates and apps more quickly if they have a limited or unreliable internet connection" and that it "doesn't slow down your internet connection" because it uses a "limited portion" of idle upload bandwidth. sursa

We’ve already been geeking out over the multitude of things you can do with the new packet capture and CloudShark upload support in the popular open source OS for embedded devices, OpenWrt. In addition to the ability to troubleshoot packet-level detail on home gateways, or monitoring wireless traffic, OpenWrt’s packet capture feature can turn any embedded device to a packet capture node that can instantly upload its data to CloudShark. Accessing OpenWrt To turn a device into a network probe, you’ll need to be able to access the web user-interface of OpenWrt. This may be a different process depending on if you are attempting to connect to OpenWrt locally or over a WAN connection: OpenWrt is designed for any kind of embedded device, but is most commonly used for home gateways. As such, the former is certainly easier; connecting to OpenWrt locally effectively treats the device as a network switch. With Wireshark or an external sniffer, you would need to set up a mirror port to effectively sniff traffic, and in OpenWrt this can only be done at the IP layer. However, since OpenWrt has its own packet capture application, you can capture directly on any port. OpenWrt does not have an automatic “allow WAN access” feature for its remote management application, so accessing your probe remotely is a little more involved if NAT is enabled - you’ll need to set up some specific IP and firewall rules in order to allow this. Building OpenWrt as a network probe As we’ve discussed before, you can perform an entire capture through the OpenWrt web UI and automatically upload to CloudShark. However, those use cases revolve around sniffing traffic that is passing through a device operating as a full switch or router; in order to use a device as a probe, you’ll need to configure it in such a way that the port you choose to capture on is receiving the traffic of every interface. Unfortunately, there aren’t any Ethernet hubs available that support OpenWrt (as far as we can tell), but some OpenWrt supported hardware that allows the configuration of VLANs can work. To do this, you can use the network switch functionality in OpenWrt. A quick example Tom from our devops team explains how to do this on a TP-Link1043ndv2 - configuration may be similar for other OpenWrt devices that support an internal switch interface: Look up the device you are using on the OpenWrt Wiki (Table of Hardware [OpenWrt Wiki]) and take note of the switch ports for your device, (on ours they were mapped in reverse). First we need to configure the switch that is inside our OpenWrt router. You will need to remove the two ports to use for sniffing from the default vlan 1. This can be done by editing /etc/config/network and editing this section: config switch_vlan option device 'switch0' option vlan '1' option ports '0 1 2 3 4' Delete the two ports to use for capturing from the option ports line. We removed 2 and 3 to use these ports for capturing. Next we need to pick two new vlan numbers, one for each port, we chose 20 and 30. We need to configure these vlans to be untagged on the physical ports that we want to use to sniff, and tagged with these vlans on the CPU Port (Internal). For our device this was port 0 but this may be different you your device, the OpenWrt Wiki page for your device should have this information. We added the following lines to /etc/config/network to accomplish this: Delete the two ports to use for capturing from the option ports line. We added the following lines to /etc/config/network to accomplish this: Then we need to configure OpenWrt to create interfaces with these VLANs. Take a look at the /etc/config/network configuration file and find where the lan interface is configured. On our device this was configured here: config interface 'lan1' option ifname 'eth1.1' option force_link '1' option type 'bridge' option proto 'static' option ipaddr '192.168.1.1' option netmask '255.255.255.0' option ip6assign '60' We can see that on our device the ifname was eth1.1, on other devices this may be eth0.1 or another interface. Configure the vlans you chose as two new interfaces on the same ethX device as ethX.VLAN. For our device we added the following two lines: config interface 'lan2' option ifname 'eth1.20' option force_link '1' config interface 'lan3' option ifname 'eth1.30' option force_link '1' Last we will configure a bridge interface named “sniff” that will bridge these two interfaces together and allow us to sniff all the traffic traversing these two ports. Again this can be configured in /etc/config/network: config interface 'sniff' option type 'bridge' option proto 'none' option ifname 'eth1.20 eth1.30' option auto '1' option force_link '1' After all of these changes you should be able to restart networking using the command: /etc/init.d/network restart. You should now have a new interface named br-sniff that you can select using the CloudShark package for OpenWrt that will sniff all of the traffic between two ports! Note that the OpenWrt router still needs a connection to upload captures to openwrt.cloudshark.org or to your own local CloudShark appliance. You now have a CloudShark enabled network probe! That’s all there is to it. In order to ensure that there is no wayward traffic coming from OpenWrt itself, be sure to disable features like the DHCP/DNS server and the firewall on the ports you are using to sniff so they don’t affect the network. Once set up, you can use OpenWrt packet capture and CloudShark support to sniff traffic anywhere in your network that you’ve added a probe, and instantly upload that capture to CloudShark, creating a true packet capture network. sursa
